screens get cut when rolling in the spline

I have replaced the screens on the door on the backporch three times trying to find one in which the screens won't pull out so easily. I have the little roller that pushes the screen back in, but after so many rolls, the screen is cut right where I roll it. Is there a prarticular door or type of screen that will resolve this problem? Thanks, Rosemary
