E2030 Lock is Discontinued Everywhere!

The handle on my E2030 broke, I have identified this on your website and two other websites that list it as discontinued:

This is the only size lock that fits into my sliding glass door. Am I out of luck and just need to order a new door handle?

Hello, this part is discontinued. Does anyone know how to retrofit this unit with current latch that is available? If there is, which part number? Much appreciated.

Hi Ali;

These locks all come from one source, Prime-Line in California. If they have discontinued it then your only chance is a local glass shop that may have old stock because the lock is used in your area

I dont have any. Its possible could you find one on eBay but the product descriptions there can be sketchy.

As far as solutions you could replace the handle and lock with a surface mount lock that latches into a receiver mounted on the casing on the inside.

You would have to drill 2 new holes through the door frame but very likely the surface mount handle would cover up the hole where the old 2030 used to go.

The E2030 is a very small lock and it also might be possible to widen up the mortise hole in the door to accept an E2014 and handle.

If you like, send me pictures of the door and the mortise hole and existing handle and I will give a more detailed answer on retrofitting a new lock.
